Most Wanted Ball Hockey Academy Parent Code of Conduct & Expectations Policy
Purpose
Most Wanted Ball Hockey Academy is committed to providing a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment where every player can develop, compete, and have fun. Parents and spectators are expected to help create that environment.
Parent & Spectator Expectations
Parents and spectators must:
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect toward players, coaches, officials, volunteers, opponents, and other families.
- Allow coaches to coach, officials to officiate, and players to play.
- Never criticize, ridicule, embarrass, or publicly compare players.
- Avoid coaching from the stands or contradicting team instructions.
- Respect coaching decisions and address concerns privately and respectfully.
Respect for Officials
- Accept that officials, like players and coaches, will make mistakes.
- Never insult, threaten, or intimidate officials or timekeepers.
- Never enter the playing surface, bench areas, or officials’ areas without permission.
24-Hour Rule
Parents are expected to wait 24 hours after a game before raising concerns regarding playing time, coaching decisions, strategy, officiating, or player interactions. Concerns should first be directed respectfully to the Head Coach and, if necessary, Academy administration.
No Confrontation / Harassment
The Academy has zero tolerance for confrontational behavior, including:
- Confronting coaches, officials, opposing players, coaches, or spectators.
- Shouting matches, verbal altercations, harassment, bullying, personal attacks, or inflammatory comments.
- Any behavior that negatively impacts the safety or enjoyment of players or other families.
Consequences
Failure to follow this policy may result in:
- A verbal or written warning.
- Removal from the facility or event.
- Suspension from future Academy events.
- In serious or repeated cases, removal of the player from the program.
The Academy reserves the right to determine appropriate disciplinary action based on the severity and frequency of the behavior.
Our Commitment
Children learn best when adults model respect. Every player should be able to compete, make mistakes, learn, and enjoy the game without fear of criticism or conflict from adults.
Parent Acknowledgement: By registering a player with Most Wanted Ball Hockey Academy, the parent/guardian agrees to follow this Code of Conduct. Failure to comply may result in removal from games or facilities, suspension from Academy events, or, in serious or repeated cases, cancellation of the player’s registration.
